Searching for art

The jewels I find searching for art for my clients brought me a rare gem today.
Suzanne Erickson. She's a stunningly beautiful mix of humility, passion, femininity and masculinity and her work has so much strength and emotion and sensuality it's absolutely brilliant.  Well known among celebrities and serious art collectors, Suzanne's work is quite exclusive.  It seems however, the "it" crowd are clamoring for her work in Los Angeles. She is both a visual artist and performing artist and is one of the multi-dimensionally talented people I've met.  I'm super excited I've managed to secure a couple of pieces for my clients and that they will have the rare honor of owning some of Suzanne's incredible work.

Illusion

Clients often ask me how to make a room feel taller. Well, when photographing it, shoot up like this pic taken of me in front of my clients house. 

But in a room there are lots of optical illusion tricks you can use. The first being vertical stripes either in wallpaper patterns, paint treatments etc. I also love using paneling and mirror to create a feeling of higher ceilings. Mirror treatments done in a smoked mirror or antique finish also make the room feel like it goes on and on. 

This powder room in part of my clients estate I've done with black lacquer walls and an antique mirror ceiling. A few details to finish but all the shine makes the room feel super tall.
